Emberblood Keeper is made by Crazy Raccoon Games Studio. This page says what the game keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. The game has no ads, no advertising or tracking software from other companies, and we do not sell anything we keep.
What we keep
- Your account. A random id your device makes when you first open the game, and the keys that let your devices open the account. If you link an email, we keep the email and a scrambled form of your password that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Your game. Your colony, your heroes, what you own, what you did and when: the server plays the game with you, so it holds its state.
- What other players see. The name you pick, the look of your profile and, if you upload one, your profile picture (the game shrinks it to 64 by 64 pixels before it is sent). Your place on the boards, your alliance and the messages you write in chat.
- Purchases. What you bought, when, and the store's own number for the purchase. The store takes your payment: we never see your card or your billing address.
- How the game is played. Records of what happens in the game (a floor cleared, a building raised, a screen opened), with the version of the game, the kind of device (Android or iPhone) and the language and country your device is set to. They are kept under your random id, not under your name or your email.
- Server logs. As any site does, our servers note the internet address (IP) each request comes from, with its time.
We do not ask for your real name, your contacts, your location or your advertising id, and the game does not read them.
Why we keep it
- To run the game for you: your account, your game, your purchases, what other players see of you.
- To keep it fair and safe: server logs, chat and reports, checks against cheating.
- To make it better: the records of how the game is played, read in sums over many players.
- Because the law asks: records of purchases, for accounting and tax.
Under the EU's and the UK's data protection law these are, in order: carrying out our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in a fair and safe game, our legitimate interest in improving it, and a legal duty.
Who else handles it
- Our servers are rented from Contabo GmbH, in Germany.
- Cloudflare runs the name service of our domain.
- Google Play takes payments made in the Android game and tells us what was bought. Google keeps what it knows of you under its own policy.
We give what we keep to nobody else, unless a court or an authority with the right to ask does. The servers are in the European Union; we look after them from the country of Georgia.
How long
- Your account and your game: until you delete the account.
- Server logs: thirty days.
- Backups: thirty days.
- Records of purchases: as long as accounting and tax law require.
- Records of how the game is played: kept after an account is deleted, under a random id that no longer leads to anyone.
What you can do
- Delete your account, in the game or by writing to us: how to delete an account.
- Ask what we keep about you, have it corrected, or get a copy of it.
- Object to our reading how you play, or ask us to stop using what we keep while a question is open.
- Complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Write to support@crazyraccoongames.com from the email linked to your account, or with your account's id (Settings, Account). We answer within a month.
Children
The game is not made for children under 13, or under the age at which your country lets a person agree to this by themselves (up to 16 in parts of Europe). If you believe a child gave us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
When this page changes, its date changes. A change that matters is announced before it applies.
