Delete some of your data

Godforsaken Isles is made by Crazy Raccoon Games Studio. You can have some of what we keep about you deleted and keep your account: this page says how, what is deleted, and what is kept and for how long. To delete everything instead, see delete an account.

Delete one character, keep the account

An account can hold more than one character. To delete one of them, with everything it has, and keep the account and its other characters:

In the game, tap your face at the top left of the main screen. Your profile opens.
Tap Settings, then Account (it needs a connection to the server).
Under Characters, tap Play beside the character you want to delete, so that it is the one you are playing.
Tap Delete this character, then hold Delete this character on the page that opens.

The character is erased at once and for good: its colony, its heroes and what it owned; its name, its profile pictures and its place on the boards; its messages in chat (both sides of its private chats); its friends, its reports and its blocks. If it is the account's only character, the button says Delete account instead, and the account goes with it.

Your profile photo

In your profile, tap Picture, then Hero: your profile shows your hero's face again, and other players no longer see your photo. The photos you uploaded stay on our servers until the character is deleted. To have them erased now, write to us (below).

Your email

A linked email is how the account is opened on another device, and the game cannot unlink an account's only way in (today an email is the only kind there is). To remove the email, delete the account, or write to us (below). Without an email, the account opens only on the devices already logged in to it.

Anything else, by writing to us

To have anything else we keep about you deleted without deleting the account (such as messages you wrote in chat, a name you used, your photos or your email), write to support@crazyraccoongames.com with the subject Delete some of my data:

from the email linked to the account, or with the account's id (it is shown in Settings, Account, and a tap copies it), and
saying what you want deleted.

We may ask a question to be sure the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days and write back when it is done. What the game needs to play your character (its colony, its heroes, what it owns) goes only with the character.

Deleted without asking

Chat messages: 90 days after they were written, with their translations.
Server logs: thirty days.

What is kept, why, and for how long

Records of purchases (what was bought, when, at what price, the store's number for it and any creator code), under the account's id: for accounting and tax, six years after the end of the year of the purchase.
What our staff did with the account (its id, what was done and why, their notes, what was searched for): as long as the game runs, so that no staff action can be hidden.
The mark that a character was deleted, so that its id is never used again: as long as the game runs.
A chat message someone reported, or that our filter flagged for our moderators, when you ask us to delete it: until they have looked at it.
Records of how the game was played, under the account's random id, with no name and no email: until they are 24 months old.
Backups made before the deletion, until they are dropped: thirty days at most.
What other players' devices already fetched, such as a picture, stays on those devices.
